About the role

The purpose of SOLINK’s Solar Engineer is to manage and coordinate site assessments, detailed feasibility
and procurement processes of renewable energy projects on behalf of SOLINK’s clients. This role will
include regular client engagements, project feasibility modelling and management of procurement
processes from development of tender documentation through to project award.

The candidate must be a problem solver and solution finder with drive to seek continuous improvement.
This position will help drive the company forward and towards achieving its vision.

What you will be doing:
● Solar PV site yield assessments
● Embedded generation licensing support
● Site tariff analysis
● Energy market research
● Review of solar energy companies
● Document editing and control
● Procurement/ tender support
● Project Administration

Requirements

BSc Engineering Degree (or similar)

Valid driver’s license

Beneficial:

AutoCAD LT exposure

Electrical background or experience

Experience with google workplace (docs, sheets, slides)

Understanding/exposure to Python and/or JavaScript

Current Masters and PhD students looking for part-time work

Physical Requirements:

Own Transport

Own Laptop

Reside in Cape Town or the immediate surrounds

Committed to a minimum of 3 days of work per week

The candidate should have excellent communication and organisational skills.
